Two of the major travel concerns of people coming from third world countries are the cost of travel and the process of acquiring a visa. Most of the time, thinking about this makes one lose hope that he will ever reach the destination he wants to go to and just stay where he is.
When people from first world economies visit developing countries, they find that everything is very cheap and affordable and can go on long holidays with minimal budget. On the other hand, travelers coming from developing countries need to allocate a fortune for the travel expenses. Apart from that, they also need to consider the expenses and process of acquiring a visa (if needed) for their country of destination.
With my Philippine passport, I do understand these concerns. I am lucky enough to be working in Singapore, a first world country where I do get a decent salary, but this does not spare me from these woes.
Travelling does not have to be expensive. With proper planning and the right resources, you can have a perfect holiday at minimal costs. Visa applications are also not that complicated if you follow the requirements accurately.
Coming from a developing country should not hinder us from seeing the world.
